USA: turnover of natural cosmetics reaches five billion US dollars
As the British organic market research organization Organic Monitor has reported, the turnover of natural and organic
cosmetics has passed the five billion dollar mark.
Organic Monitor’s forecast is for the market to reach eight billion US dollars by 2017. Among other things, the new report on the market for natural and organic cosmetics goes into the reasons for this positive development: as well as multinationals entering the market the two leading supermarket chains in the USA have introduced own brand natural cosmetics. This has meant that natural cosmetics have become much more available and much more visible.
